Payout Tables, Roulette Game

A practical guide to payout tables for roulette game: the steps, the limits and the common mistakes.

What is Payout Tables?

A payout table in a roulette game is a fixed reference chart listing every bet type alongside the exact multiplier the house pays when that bet wins. Before placing a single chip, the table tells you precisely what a ₹500 Straight Up bet returns, ₹17,500 profit at 35:1, versus a ₹500 Red/Black bet returning ₹500 profit at 1:1. The underlying formula never changes: payout = (36 ÷ numbers covered) − 1. European roulette has 37 pockets, so a Straight Up covering one pocket pays 35:1; a Corner covering four pockets pays 8:1.

American roulette uses the same multipliers but adds a double-zero pocket, lifting the house edge from 2.70% to 5.26%. The payout table looks identical on screen, but your long-run return per ₹100 wagered drops from ₹97.30 to ₹94.74. Indian players should confirm which variant they are on, the zero count printed in the table header or game info panel is the quickest check before depositing via PhonePe, GPay, or BHIM UPI.

How Payout Tables Works

The payout table acts as a live contract confirmed the instant the ball settles. Place ₹200 on a Six Line covering six consecutive numbers and watch one of those six hit, you collect ₹200 × 5 = ₹1,000 in winnings plus your ₹200 stake returned, totalling ₹1,200 credited immediately. No manual calculation, no delays: the multiplier fires automatically.

The real strategic value comes from combining bets. Cover a Dozen with ₹300 (2:1) and add a ₹100 Straight Up on a number inside that Dozen. If your exact number hits, you collect ₹3,500 from the inside bet plus ₹600 from the Dozen, ₹4,100 on a ₹400 total stake. If any other number in the Dozen lands, you net ₹600 minus the ₹100 lost, still leaving ₹200 profit. The payout table makes every scenario calculable before the wheel spins, removing guesswork from your bankroll planning.

French roulette adds La Partage and En Prison rules that halve the house edge on even-money bets to 1.35%, the payout table still shows 1:1, but you recover half your stake when zero lands instead of losing it entirely. Look for these rule indicators printed beneath the payout table in the game's info panel; they represent a ₹13.50 saving per ₹1,000 wagered compared to European roulette.
